Our mission is to end extreme poverty by supporting the world’s most effective social ventures. We believe we can end extreme poverty in our lifetime by reinventing how we give. Ways that spur economic opportunity, promote dignity & save lives.

We’re proud to partner with Water for People, to help expand and accelerate their well mechanics program across rural India. This is the most effective way to ensure people have sustainable access to clean water. Our goal is to enable 186 people to become well mechanics to keep water flowing for 930,000 people!

We’re proud to partner with the social enterprise, Kickstart. Working in Kenya since 1991, Kickstart’s goal is to develop, launch and promote simple money-making tools poor entrepreneurs use to create their own profitable businesses. In doing so, Kickstart developed, “The MoneyMaker,” a line of affordable irrigation pumps that turn subsistent farmers into profitable entrepreneurs.Kickstart has sold 174,610 pumps across Africa and 63,505 pumps in Kenya – moving over half a million people out of poverty.

This October, we want to give 500 women in Uganda the skills to become health promotors. We will train female leaders to earn a living selling health products at affordable prices. Once trained and in the field, each woman cares for approximately 700 people in her community. Every $162 will create one job. Sponsor a lady, and next year, you’ll get a photo of the woman you helped.

Everyday, 3 billion people in developing countries are exposed to toxic smoke when preparing meals. Cooking on traditional stoves and open fires causes 1.9 million premature deaths per year and drastically increases deforestation. Acute respiratory infections are the number one cause of death in children under five years old, mainly caused by breathing in the smoke while their mother prepares meals. It is equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes per day.

The solution? Charcoal-efficient stoves. The household stove maximizes efficiency through an insulated combustion chamber. The stove can be made locally and is sold at an affordable price, saving time, 20% of a family’s income, and six trees per year.
