BENEFITING: ALS Association Greater New York Chapter
ORGANIZER: ALS Association Greater New York Chapter
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
On Sunday, November 3rd I will be running my first marathon to honor the late Larry Jerz who passed away this past Spring from ALS. The entire Jerz family is very dear to my heart and Larry fought this awful disease for as long as he could. Larry was a very special man and I would like to encourage you to support this cause to help fund the on going fight and help find a cure.
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer.
Any donation will make a difference and go toward ALS care services and research funded by the ALS Association.
Thanks very much,
