The Arts Collaborative

The Arts Collaborative is a nonprofit public benefit organization. Our mission is to promote self-expression and creativity through the arts.

The Arts Collaborative is an outgrowth of the Downtown Center for the Arts which was founded in 2006 by Armando Lopez. The Downtown Center for the Arts exhibited fine art with a focus on diversity of artists.

The Arts Collaborative was founded by Armando in 2014.

We sponsored La Orquesta Pasatono, a musical ensemble from Oaxaca, Mexico. They performed at the Oxnard College Theater.

The Arts Collaborative purchased and donated an Egyptian Sarcophagus to the Gull Wings Children’s Museum for their Egyptian Children’s Art Program.

We have also co-sponsored the Sergio Mendes & Nuvi Mehta & Friends concerts with The Ventura Music Festival in 2016. We have also sponsored the reception for Nuvi Mehta & Friends featuring internationally known soprano Monica Abrego at the Ventura College Auditorium in 2016.

The Arts Collaborative also co-sponsored with the Ventura Music Festival, a concert featuring singer, composer, conductor of the Pasadena Pops Symphony, PBS star and "Ambassador of the American Songbook", Michael Feinstein, at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. We also sponsored the opening reception for Linda Arreola exhibit "The Avalanche and The Silence" at the Carnegie Art Museum in 2017.

We have also co-sponsored the Children's Dramatic Arts Workshop for Teatro de las Americas.

Our current project is sponsorship of the Choral Tales Project. For further information on this project go to our website:
