BENEFITING: ORANGE COUNTY DISABILITY AWARENESS COUNCIL
The Assistive Technology Training Outreach Program (ATTOP) is a multi-phase enterprise intended to be implemented one stage at a time. The overall purpose of the program is to provide information and training to area students with disabilities who are, or soon will be, of higher education. Phase I will include services to younger students and their parents as well. The two part web-based and technology lab assists parents and kids with disabilities in the efforts to locate technology resources to impact the educational pursuits. It assists middle school to high school with locating assistive technology that aids in learning on the job, in school, and how to gain information access to all areas of community living. It also helps college kids and junior kids without disabilities complete the services learning requirements while foster a channels for the career paths.
