BENEFITING: MOUNTAIN CHILDRENS MINISTRY
EVENT DATE: Jan 15, 2016
In January 2016, I will summit the 19,341 ft. peak of Mount Kilimanjaro on behalf of the Amber Volk Foundation (AVF). Amber was one of my best friends and a passionate advocate for African relief work prior to her tragic passing in 2008. We established the AVF in her memory to continue blessing those she loved so dearly. During my 6 month climb training, I am committed to raising $3000 to support the ministry work Mountain Children's Ministry (MCM) conducts in rural Uganda. AVF has recently contributed to a water well with MCM and we are excited to continue our fruitful relationship. I am asking for your support as I work toward both my physical and monetary goals. Prayer, kind thoughts or notes, and any dollar amount you can contribute are of great value to me and the organizations I am representing.
My climb/trip itself is self funded. All donations will contribute to Solar Lighting for children's homes ($120/light - giving them the ability to study at night), college scholarships, and purchasing land for self-sustainable farming.
If you would like more information on AVF or MCM, please visit their websites at: www.ambervolkfoundation.com and www.mountainchildrensministry.com, respectively.
