The Banquet's mission is to provide a welcoming place where people can gather, receive nourishment and experience love in action; and to assist volunteers in providing food and fellowship to those served through the ministry of The Banquet. We will be vigilant in identifying and fulfilling the needs of the hungry in our diverse community and in encouraging the health and wellness of our guests.
The Banquet recruits volunteer groups to cook and serve hot, nutritious meals for people living in poverty in our community. The Banquet offers food for the body and food for the soul. All are welcome at The Banquet which serves nearly 200,000 meals each year to low income individuals and families. Among our guests are elderly people living on a fixed income, working poor people who are struggling to feed their children, disabled people and those who struggle with addiction and mental illness.
More than 25,000 volunteers work to serve the 200,000 meals each year. The Banquet serves 13 meals each week to 600-900 guests daily.
