I am Andrea Contreras, student of The Bishop's School. This spring break I am traveling to Cambodia with classmates to work with the Cambodian Village Fund. This organization gives girls scholarships to recieve a proper education. At Cambodia, I will help construct a computer lab, teach English, and get to know some of these Cambodian girls. I hope to raise at least $1,000 and more to bring with me to help the school. With your kind donations, small or large, I can hopefully reach this goal.
All the money raised will go towards the Cambodia Village Fund. This nonprofit organization was started by two grandparents of one of my friends, also a fellow student. The goal is to give Cambodian girls the proper aid and opportunties needed to recieve an education. These girls are given scholarships and provided with all the supplies, electronics, books, and uniforms needed to go to school. It costs around 1,000 dollars to provide these things for one girl. The girls chosen are supported throughout the begining of middle school until the end of high school. Also, the money raised will go towards building a new computer lab that can bring the girls' educational experience to a new level.
We can help the poorest Cambodian girls by donating. The donations helping the girls improve their quality of life. Also, as found by several sources, this investment will ultimately help grow the local economy, improve their communities, and decrease the child mortality rate.
I hope you can help with a simple donation, and help our team reach a total of 35,000 dollars.
