Susaday! which means "Hello" in Khmer. Over this spring break, 25 students from the Bishop's School in La Jolla will be traveling to Cambodia. They will be visiting different places that show what Cambodia is about. Set up by one of the student's grandparents, The Cambodian Village Fund supports kids that are in need of education. A school was even built in Cambodia because of this fund.
Also, there is a program called "Reach for the Sky," that provides 25 girls, 7th grade through 4th year of college to get an education. These girls, growing up in very poor areas, are able to pay off their tuition, housing, and supplies for a year with $1000. These girls are very intelligent and want to be successful like all of us. With any amount of money donated, it will go straight to the girls and their education.
In advance, I want to thank anyone who read this, and educated themselves on this topic. I would also like to thank anyone who donated towrd the cause. Everyone going on the trip and especially myself say "aw-koon" or thank you in Khmer.
