Connor and I have been invited to attend the ‘Love Your Brain Retreat’ at Zeno Mountain Farm in Vermont, May 24-29, and we’ll both be running in the Burlington Vt. Marathon to support the project. This is a 6 day gathering of extraordinary Traumatic Brain Injury survivors, speakers, neurologists, and nutritionists. The Love Your Brain Foundation (LYB) is led by Kevin and Adam Pearce - stars of the hit documentary the Crash Reel – established for people who like Kevin, have experienced TBI's. As you may know, Connor suffered a serious brain hemorrhage during routine surgery 6 years ago, and LYB camp is an incredible opportunity for him to connect with survivors who have faced similar challenges and learn new healing techniques.

My family has been twice impacted by brain injury as my birth Dad Peter Williamson passed away due to a brain aneurism when I was 10 months old. Our brothers Tyler and Reece accompanied Connor to the two previous LYB retreats and not only did camp change Connor’s life, it changed theirs as well. I’m excited to follow in their footsteps and experience all that they’ve all been raving about. To run the half marathon for such a great cause is an honour!
