EVENT DATE: Jun 28, 2013
The sudden death of Don Hirschfield was a shock to his friends, family, and fraternity brothers. Don will be among the millions categorized as the "a remarkable individual that God chose to take at such a young age." Like many of our lost loved ones, the intensity of the void of Don's presence with time will fade for many and for his immediate family, not all. Sometimes closing every facet of a lost loved one can help people remove the pain when personal belongings and items with strong memories remain. Don was cremated at the request of his mother when Don left us in California. His ashes were brought to his family's home in IL where in a shrine like fashion have remained....
In the last couple of weeks and probably longer, the decision was made to bury Don and a request from his parents about financially contributing to his plot would be of interest in honor of Don. With the incomes of many having been erroded by the current economy, the decision to compile this fundraiser was an easy decision. The amount that is hoped to be raised is very obtainable. The small contribution from all of his brothers who loved him for all of his many amazing attributes seemed achievable from simply the number of lives he touched.
Please take 2-5 minutes to contribute $6 or whatever other amount you can and/or are willing to do. Thank you for your contribution and the continued memories of Don.
