Michelle A. Lorenc - Cihanowyz, 47, died April 26, 2014. Michelle was born in Newark, and raised in Irvington, becoming a Green Brook resident in 1984. She was a 1985 Union Catholic High School graduate. Michelle was a devoted and active mother who supported her sons throughout their every endeavor in sports and academic pursuits. Michelle was determined to see her three sons Ryan, 18 is a senior, her twin sons Justin and Jason, 16 are juniors at Watchung Hills Regional High School complete and continue their college education. Through her love, participation and drive her three sons maintain well above average grades, take honors and AP courses, are active in school and extra curricular sports and philanthropic volunteer activities. Michelle's hard work, ambition and work ethic; as well as her guidance has resulted in her sons' many accomplishments. Her dreams for her sons' continued education has inspired her many colleagues, co-workers and friends to establish this college fundraiser in memory of Michelle, for her three sons; Ryan, Justin and Jason.
Over the course of her career, over 25 years ago, in the pharmaceutical industry starting with Hoechst-Celanese, then moving to Johnson & Johnson before working for Sanofi-Aventis as a Senior Administrator. As a breast cancer survivor, Michelle dedicated her spare time where she volunteered for many organizations which supported cancer research; as well as the Red Cross and SHIP. She was known as "the Ultimate Party Planner" by family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Michelle will be remembered as a giving, generous, loving mother and friend. She will be sadly missed.
She is predeceased by her brother Anthony who passed in 2013. She is survived by her sons Ryan, Justin, and Jason, mother MaryAnn Lorenc, father George Lorenc, brother Chris Lorenc and his wife Liz, and nieces and nephew Kristen, Ashley, Christopher and Alexis.
