EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016
The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation accomplishes their mission through three initiatives: Community Outreach, Education, and Research.
Free Vision Clinics began in 2008 in the basement of Roselawn Lutheran Church. By 2015, the Roselawn Vision Clinic had seen more than 4,600 patients without eye insurance and with income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. Today there are four vision clinics located in neighborhoods of high poverty and unemployment. These clinics provide comprehensive, dilated eye exams by volunter ophthalmologists and will see approximately 2,000 patients annually.
