More than 20 years ago, we made a personal commitment to a group of homeless individuals living in and around Grand Central Terminal. We promised them that if they gave up drugs and went to work, The Doe Fund would be there to support them every step of the way. Since then, we have helped tens of thousands of homeless New Yorkers create brighter futures for themselves — and for their children. As part of our award-winning transitional employment program, these individuals — known as the "men in blue" for their signature bright blue uniforms — clean 150 miles of New York City streets and sidewalks each day. With each sweep of the broom and each push of the bucket, the "men in blue" transform the landscape of our great city and their own lives. We are proud to say that The Doe Fund has proven that work works in ending homelessness, crime, and substance abuse. The person who created this page is probably preparing something riveting to post about everything they're doing to give back. We recommend you sit at your computer and hit refresh over and over until their story goes live. You should also scroll down and see if they have a fundraiser going so you can support 'em.
