The Dog Raise of Summer

I am raising money for the Seal Beach Animal Care Center's dog renovations. This is my community service project for the summer of 7th grade.
I had the choice of choosing a place to raise money for, to visit, to play my violin for, or bake goodies for, but after a long time of thinking....... I chose to raise money for a place near and dear to my heart, the Seal Beach Animal Shelter. My grandmother, Nancy Johnson, volunteered at this wonderful place to walk dogs, feed dogs or cats, but mostly to take care of the animals as if she owned every single one of them (and, she ended up adopting Gizmo, her dog, and Annie, her cat from there).
Once the end of 6th grade came around and I was ready to get my summer on I received a summer homework packet. In this packet I was asked to create an instrument, raise at least $25.00 for my 8th grade trip, read two books, and do my own community service project. After awhile of thinking where to go and what to do, and many phone calls, I chose this place because what my grandma did inspired me to help animals.
Now of course, I couldn't volunteer because you have to be 18 to be able to do that, but I decided to raise money and take a little tour of the place. They need lots of money and I feel that this is my time to help out with that. Aside from creating this fundraising page, I am walking dogs, creating homemade cards to sell, doing a lemonade stand, and collecting dog food donations. The dog food they need is wet or dry food and the brand is Science Diet, ground gourmet chicken entree is preferred. If you'd like to donate food too, I'm happy to deliver it for you.
Thank you so much for your time reading this and (hopefully) supporting me. I am looking forward to making a change for the Seal Beach Animal Shelter and I hope you remember that not only they but the world has disadvantages. Get up, and support a cause today!
