BENEFITING: National Philanthropic Trust
This community fund is set up in memory of Dr. Edwin Fonner, Jr., beloved colleague, friend, husband and father who dedicated his life in making a difference by supporting population health.
Today is World Lung Cancer Day, and I would like to take this moment to honor the millions of people affected by the disease (the most common cancer worldwide) as well as all of the wonderful medical professionals, spouses, relatives, loved ones, and others fighting the battle alongside their patients. One of the goals of the Ed Fonner Community Fund is to raise awareness, supporting other charities with these goals in mind. More updates will be coming soon about donations made and our other planned activities.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the cause—make every day count!!

Today I Will: Today, I will stand on my tip toes, look up and over those blocking my way, and be a Dreamer. As I gaze up at the sky and out at the Universe, I will be open to all possibilities. Setting my compass, glacing back briefly, I will appreciate my heritage, my challenges, successes and failings. I will breathe in a great sense of fulfillment for my Providence. Driven by my furies, I will take risks, I will push outward, and I will reach the top. With God as my friend and now on my way, quoting Tolstoy, I will ‘want feelings to guide my life, not life to guide my feelings.’ ”
