Poverty is one of the biggest problems this world faces. The solution to help get rid of poverty is through education. Our names are Ashley and Carson Madsen, and we are 16 and 14 years old. We have set a goal for ourselves to raise $64,000 to install 3 solar arrays for The Fabindia School in Rajasthan, India. It is a non-profit, English medium school that gives under-privileged boys and girls the opportunity to receive an affordable education. The school encourages the families to send their sons AND daughters to school, as it has been committed to encouraging education for girls in a culture where most parents who can afford an English medium school would send only their sons.
But they are on a faulty power grid, creating multiple power outages a day which interrupts class time and prevents these children from receiving the education they need. The 3 solar arrays will make the school 100% power efficient, meaning no more power outages and no more interrupted learning. The school desperately needs your help and support to give these children an education that will serve as a major stepping stone towards social mobility, equality and job opportunities. YOU can help make a difference in these students, and thousands of people's lives.
