In partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, Extra Yard for Teachers, the Fiesta Bowl granted $500,000 throughout the month of December by fulfilling 100 randomly-selected wishes.
The Fiesta Bowl organization is firmly committed to being a champion for our community. That’s why we actively support charitable groups in their efforts to reach out and serve others.
In 1971 nine visionaries broke into the ranks of the established bowl system, making Arizona’s first college football bowl game a reality. While the goal of those nine Fiesta Bowl Founders was to put into motion a post-season college football matchup, the organization has grown to be much more than a game. The Fiesta Bowl’s vision is to be a world-class community organization that executes innovative experiences, drives economic growth and champions charitable causes, inspiring pride in all Arizonans. As a nonprofit organization, it believes in the importance of fostering a culture of community outreach and service. At the core of the organization is Fiesta Bowl Charities, which strives to enhance organizations that contribute to the success of their communities through youth, sports, education and human services. Through charitable giving, the organization will continue to enhance nonprofit organizations across the State of Arizona by contributing $2 million during the 2016-2017 season alone.
