BENEFITING: Koreatown Youth and Community Center Inc
Most of you know that I work in Koreatown, but not all of you know about the nonprofit that I call home. KYCC is the oldest and largest multiservice organization in Koreatown. Since 1975, we have provided programs and services for the most disadvantaged children, individuals and families—of all ethnicities—in the community. We provide free after-school tutoring for elementary and high school students, plant over 1,200 trees, provide small business counseling for hundreds of restaurant owners and immigrant entrepreneurs, remove millions of square feet of graffiti seven days a week, offer free mental health counseling for K-Town's children, advise vets on creating financial stability, give shelter to previously homeless families...to name just a few of our programs. For more on KYCC, please visit www.kyccla.org. As part of KYCC's End-of-Year Campaign, I've made a personal goal of raising $500 for KYCC. I hope you will make a contribution—whether $10 or $1000—to help build up the future of Koreatown!
