The Gambia Community School Programs
Organized by: Dominique Wilson
We all can make a difference if we put our hearts to it. Just two summers ago each of you supported me to go to The Gambia, Africa. Now today, I share I have been planning to go back to expand what each of you help start. My friend Ismaila who is from The Gambia and I are hoping to go back to his home country to make a difference.
I am seeking the Samuel Huntington Public Service Award; which is a $15,000 stipend given to graduating college student with a plan to make a difference in the world. I ask that you help me match the award they may give me, so no matter what we are able to make a difference.
We want to work with a local health clinic and hire a on call nurse and doctor and they will work at two high schools in The Gambia, Africa. While working alongside University of Illinois Springfield and The University of The Gambia. Our current partners are University of Illinois Springfield, University of Illinois Chicago School of Nursing, Catalyst Schools of Chicago, Brikama Health Center, & two local Gambia high schools.
Together we influence lives. Together we transform the world.
With your support together we will make a impact.
