Mental Health Matters. This holiday season, please consider making a charitable contribution to help support and protect the mental health of our teens & young adults.
Here's why you should join us in supporting our teens and young adults:
For many young people, the college years represent the transition to adulthood, to a career, a life of one’s own and to a future of possibility.
But for many students, these years can also be a time of distress, anxiety and depression. We see these issues too often in the headlines: deaths from binge drinking, drug overdoses, and suicide. These tragedies affect and devastate entire communities. The conditions that give rise to these tragedies are complex, but there are actions that can be taken to help avoid and prevent them.
Preventing these tragedies requires people and programs across colleges and universities to work together, deliberately and in concert. This is why The Jed Foundation takes a comprehensive approach to support students at risk. We help colleges assess and improve their mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention programming, while also inspiring the student conversation through partnerships and campaigns to help build the foundation for an emotionally healthy environment—the kind that ensures connectedness and protects every student life.
Your support of The Jed Foundation allows us to reach millions of college students nationwide and helps provide the future of possibility that every young person deserves.
