The Legacy Group: FLINT WATER PROJECT
Organized by: The Legacy Group Water Project
Event Name: Flint Water Crisis
EVENT DATE Feb 13, 2016
The situation regarding Flint's water supply has gained a tremendous amount of media attention. Sadly, the public water supply running to houses, schools, senior centers, and more is unsafe to drink and the President has declared a state of emergency. This problem is not expected to be resolved until April of this year, at the earliest. In the meantime, Flint residents are reliant on bottled and filtered water to drink, cook, and brush their teeth.
To assist residents of Flint, Michigan Allstate Agents and Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations have partnered to help deliver bottled water to those in need. A volunteer effort, led by the Legacy Group Water Project, is distributing clean bottled water provided by the State of Michigan to those in need both at the Enterprise stores in Flint and by going door to door.
This project has gained an overwhelming amount of support and our reach has now grown to every community throughout Michigan. 100% of the proceeds will go to Flint Child Health & Development Fund.
