Welcome to our daughter, Kaleigh's fundraising page for Winter Park Crew. Kaleigh is currently a 3rd year coxswain with the program (2nd year varsity). Kaleigh has gained such values as integrity, responsibility, determination, leadership and sportsmanship while being a member of the team.
We are fortunate to have such a top-notch program in our community. Winter Park Crew is well known nationally and is the oldest rowing program in the state of Florida. In our 51 year history, we've won 32 State Championships and numerous National Championships as well. Kaleigh has brought home medals at the city, state and national levels. She lead her Freshman boat to a 2nd place win at the prestigious Stotesbury Cup Regatta. Her Lightweight 8 boat had an undefeated season at the state level and continued on with a 4th place win at Stotesbury and a 3rd place win at Scholastic Nationals. In addition to winning races, this past spring Kaleigh was one of 6 coxswains invited to attend the Jr. National Development Camp. That success was thanks to a lot of hard work and endless hours of practice by the rowers and coxswains (6 days a week, all year long...), expert training and coaching, and tremendous support from the families and community to give our team the resources to excel.
And that's why I'm reaching out to you right now. Unlike most other sports, Winter Park Crew does not receive any financial support from the high school or Orange County. We are solely supported by dues and community support. For the next two weeks, we are asking for help from our friends, family and community to help sustain this exceptional program. The revenue from this online fundrasier will directly fund scholarships, provide travel support, and purchase new equipment for our growing team. And half of it will go directly to Kaleigh's account.
Please consider helping Winter Park Crew continue its heritage of excellence in any way you can.
We thank you for your support,
Jana and Tom Stickrod
