The Longtime Walkabout - Global Spiritual Walk
Organized by: ANDREW THUNDERDOG
EVENT DATE Aug 01, 2016
The Longtime Walkabout is a spiritual journey across the Earth. It will begin within the next few months and will travel as a band of indigenous youth, elders, warriors, healers, dreamers and artists. We will travel from native community to community. The walk is a prayer for the water and the Corn, For our traditional lands and life ways, and for all of Mother Nature's Children. The Walk will begin in Australia and travel North through indiginous homelands to New Guinea and the Polynesian Islands. From there we will travel through Borneo, Sarawak and Micronesia, Indonesia and Malaysia. Eventually the band will meet in Bhutan- completing the first leg of the journey. We will travel by foot and local transport, being fed hopefully by the host community. We will be carrying a staff that native leaders will be asked to add a token of our unity and faith. This walk will continue across the world until the emergence of the 5th World. It will travel through Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas sharing song, teachings and prayers. Funding is needed for airfares for walkers from remote communities, as well as basic support resources for the journey such as adequate bedding, food and water, as well a support vehicle should unforeseen emergencies occur.
