The Madagascar Middle School Project
Organized by: Jason Bass
We visited a small village school in Madagascar during the summer of 2015. This school has wonderful children, dedicated teachers - but no resources. There are 600 children crammed into 6 classrooms, with limited books and other educational resources. In addition, there is no room for children over 10 years old. Education simply stops at this age. Clearly, they are in need of many things. But the first thing they need is more classroom space. We are raising money to build two classrooms for the older children, so they can continue their education. $8000 will allow the school to build a new building with two classrooms for these kids. We will be working with the Madagascar Development Fund to make this happen.
