A Navy veteran who served in Viet Nam returned with 5 diseases which malaria. The treatment required the administration of poison to kill it. This later was instrumental in contracting cardiomyopathy. He had a heart attack and was clinically dead for 45 minutes then in a comma for 5 weeks. He lived in the hospital for months until he received a heart transplant. The transplant gave him an additional 19 years of life but during that time he fought cancer in 5 different forms. He has survived it all but is now loosing his battle for life. In the wake of his battle with brain cancer, his financial state is devastating and promises to leave his wife in near poverty and in fear of loosing their home. It is my hope to provide the funds needed to repair the family home and pay off the mortgage for his wife to live the rest of her life without the fear of homelessness.
