BENEFITING: THE MARISA MAGEL MEMORIAL FUND-THE MISSY PROJECT
On November 24th, Missy Magel would have been turning 26 years old. But, Missy lost her life at age 12 from Brain Aneurysm Disease (B.A.D.). She was misdiagnosed as having migraine headaches. Early Detection Screening may have saved her life. That was not available then, but it is now..
In honor of Missy's life, The Missy Project was founded in 1999 to Raise Awareness and Support Research of B.A.D. in children. The Missy Project has funded an Early Detection Screening Program which provides FREE MRI's (typically cost $3500) to those with family history of B.A.D. The more screening The Missy Project can provide, the more lives we can save.
Every experience we have is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see…
As we engage in family activities this weekend and are soon to go into the Christmas Season, I would like to ask you to consider your support to the mission of The Missy Project in a positive way. I am aware of all the gift purchasing that will go on in the next 30 days.. I will participate in that as well. But, I also want to make an impact on people’s lives where I can. I have set up a 30 day challenge to raise funds for 10 screenings. That is $5000.00. I would like to ask for your help. A $25.00 or more donation will go a long way towards providing FREE MRI Screenings to those with a family history. Should you have that person(s) on your list that you just don’t know what to get them, I would like to suggest that you make a donation to The Missy Project on their behalf. For all donations $25.00 or more, The Missy Project will send a donation statement to you and a Christmas Card acknowledging you Sponsored a Screening on their behalf. All $250.00 or more donations received before the end of the year, will also get a golf hole sign with your name on it at our 14th Annual Missy Project Charity Golf Tournament. So if you were planning on sponsoring a sign the tournament, you can accomplish a lot by Sponsoring a Screening before the end of the year.
Thank your for helping us Save Lives...
