HOURS PLEDGED: 4,000
Hello my name is The Money Jar. I exsist to...
...raise money for the Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund
WHEN & WHERE ~
Over the next 3 months my chauffer, Rose, is taking me on a crusade around the sunny Bay Area to various Fun Filled Fundraising events ("FFFE's") WA-HOO! EVENT LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED. STAY TUNED!
Since I'm clearly not a giant purse, you may be wondering what I'll be doing at these FFFE's, yes?
We're selling raffle tickets in exchange for awesome prizes and good karma!
$5 Raffle Ticket - Get's you 1 guess at how much money I'm holding. The right guess wins you (insert name of AWESOME prize here, TBA) and you may then gloat to friends and family about the resounding difference you just made!!
$10 Raffle Ticket - Get's you 2 guesses at how much money I'm holding. The right guess wins you (insert name of AWESOME 1st prize here) AND (AWESOME 2nd level prize, TBA) and you may then gloat to friends and family about the resounding difference you just made!!
$20 Raffle Ticket - The Golden Ticket! You get 5 guesses at how much money I'm holding, the right guess wins you (insert name of AWESOME Golden Ticket Prize) -OR- should you choose to decline The Golden Ticket prize you may choose to instead take the first OR second level prize.
Hey...is that a $10 dollar bill tucked in those ones? Yup, it sure is...I wonder what other large bills are wrapped in those ones...hmmm...
The winner is the person who guesses within 100 cents over the amount, not under.
*Amount hint - 4/29* Rose guessed that over the last 3 months she must've put over $150 in (always in multiples of 3's. 3 one's, a $5 bill plus a $1, a $20 plus a $1, you get it...). Just today with the help of some benevolent elves she pulled it all back out and counted it. We're happy to report $150 was off. She guessed low. ;)
100% of $$$ made on ticket sales will be counted by my "Super Secret Money Jar Banker" at the close of the event, added to the HIGHLY TOP SECRET growing total and tossed into the jar. Then, onward! To the next FFFE! WA-HOO!
But wait! There's more people!
In July 100% of contents go to the JCCCNC. http://www.jcccnc.org/ Any large donations received at the FFFE's should be made out to "Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund " and are Tax Deductable to the extent of the law.
WHY THE JCCCNC IS SO AWESOME & WHY I CHOSE TO HELP THEM ~
(Copyright the JCCCNC website)
100% of the donations received are going directly to citizen relief efforts that are actively on the ground providing support to the victims through the National YMCAs of Japan and other Non-Governmental Organizations that the JCCCNC has very long relationships with since the 1995 Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake centered in Kobe...
"100% of all donations received* will go directly towards citizen to citizen relief efforts in the most affected areas and to those most in need.
*Checks are preferred, as the JCCCNC is assessed minimal online/credit card transaction fees prior to the JCCCNC’s receipt of online/credit card donations."
Donation capabilities to be enabled soon...please check back to see our travels!
