Camp Erin Portland Update!
August 21, 2016
I am very excited to run my first marathon for such an awesome charity! This cause is very close to my heart. I lost my father, John Rarig, at a very young age, and previously volunteered as a peer mentor at Hospice of Santa Barbara, working with kids who were grieving the loss of a parent. I had the chance to volunteer at Camp Erin in Portland this summer, which was an incredible experience, and I got to witness firsthand the profound effect this camp has on the kids who participate.
Thanks so much for supporting me in my goal to raise money for this incredible organization!

The Moyer Foundation, a public, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with offices in Seattle, WA and Philadelphia, PA, was founded in 2000 by MLB, World Series Champion pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen.
The Moyer Foundation created and supports two free signature programs: Camp Erin ®, the largest national bereavement program for children and teens who are grieving the death of someone close to them, and Camp Mariposa® is a first-of-its-kind addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth impacted by the substance abuse of a family member.
The Moyer Foundation brings together a wide network of community partners who host camp programs, raise awareness, and share in the mission of helping children experiencing grief and family addiction.
Funds for programs and initiatives are raised through special events, corporate partnerships and individual donations. The Moyer Foundation is grateful to all of the dedicated volunteers, corporate sponsors, in-kind and individual donors who join our team—to help give hope to children impacted by grief and family addiction.
