BENEFITING: EXEMPLA GOOD SAMARITAN MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 15, 2013
The Ribbon Mural was inspired by our desire to connect more deeply with the communities and families who support the Good Sam Bike Jam. 100% of your donation goes directly to benefit uninsured and underinsured patients who may not otherwise be able to afford treatment. The Ribbon Mural is financially accessible to all with a donation of $10 or more. Your donation will add three (3) colorful ribbons to the mural gardens. The ribbon colors identify the many different cancers and also represent your belief in the holistic healing power of nature and art. Our patients greatly appreciate that your donations will lighten their financial burden during treatment.
We invite you to watch our video describing the idea that planted the seed for The Ribbon Mural . Check back regularly to view the growth of the project and highlights from event day. Thousands of virtual blossoms, represented in the ribbons purchased by your donations, will bring the gardens in the mural to life.
Please visit our foundation website at www.exemplagoodsamaritanfoundation.org and the Good Sam Bike Jam website at www.goodsambikejam.org for more details on the Mural Project and the benefit ride for the Cancer Care Assistance Fund.
You can join with the community to help complete the Mural Project by:
1) Donating $10, which will add 3 ribbons to the Mural with a name (optional) to honor someone special, or
2) Donating $11 (or more), which will add 3 ribbons to the Mural PLUS a single line message that will scroll on a giant screen at the event!
The completion of the Mural with ribbons representing the various types of cancer will bloom throughout the day.
Please see the artist conceptualization in the slideshow on the left for how the final Mural will look. Also watch the video on the left for more information about The Ribbon Mural. There is also another video titled "Foundation Mural Builder" about the concept of the project and the builders involvement and dedication to the Ribbon Mural Project.
