Dr. Oliveira and Mrs. Rowe have both stepped up to help us raise money. But they are wondering if they can get out of kissing Nellie!! So you get to vote -- for Dr. O. to kiss Nellie or for Dr. O. not to kiss Nellie.
Can't decide on who should get to pucker up or not pucker up, make a donation to the Class of 2016 All Night Party or the King Philip Parent Network. Once we reach our collective goal of $1500 the school Principal, Dr. Oliveira, will win or not win a kiss from Nellie it all depends if she can raise enough money to opt out!
Mrs. Rowe will win (or not win) a kiss depending on how many votes she gets. Read about the kiss in the Country Gazette Wicked Local.
Our goal is to raise money for the KP Community to participate in the #GivingTuesday social media movement by gifting a pig from all KP students to a family in Senegal through Heifer International and to help fund the King Philip High School All Night Party.
The All Night Party takes place on graduation night and is a drug and alcohol free event for KP Seniors to come together and celebrate after their graduation ceremony. The All Night Party is hosted by the King Philip Parent Network. Over 100 parents help organize the party. This year will mark the 26th anniversary of the party.
We are excited that the KP Community will be part of #GivingTuesday a global movement which follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday to bring diverse organizations and communities around the world together on one day for one common purpose during the giving season: to celebrate generosity and to give back.
By gifting a pig through Heifer International KP students will enable students in underdeveloped countries attend school and with their families attain greater self-reliance.
The Giving Tower and Holiday Challenge is an on-line event which begins on November 24th and runs thru January 7th. The challenge is being organized for #GivingTuesday by CrowdRise an on-line crowd sourcing platform. For each donation from King Philip a brick will be placed in the CrowdRise virtural Giving Tower. The KP Community can follow the progress of the tower on the CrowdRise website and with the Giving Tower app.
Volunteer to help organize the All Night Party or to chaperone. For info and to sign up visit our volunteer page at http://www.kpparentnetwork.org.
