Theodore Lin was born on December 8, 2015 in Roseville, CA. After a normal and healthy pregnancy, he was a week and a half late and everyone eagerly awaited his arrival. He was born with a rare genetic condition that prevented him from fully developing lungs. He was transferred to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco for treatment. Unfortunately, treatment was not possible and he was removed from life support. He lived 30 hours. He was the first child of Cassie and Kenny Lin, and is the proud big brother to another little boy on the way. Theo loved to kick and was born with a full head of hair. He looked just like his father. Theo is so loved and missed, and forever a part of our family. We are holding a fundraiser/first birthday party, and the money raised will benefit UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, specifically their Child Life Services. The Child Life Services program provides developmental and emotional support to the children hospitalized and their families; including: Preparing young patients for medical procedures using age-specific teaching tools such as models, dolls, medical equipment and pictures School program for hospitalized children and their siblings Activity rooms for kids and teens to relax and play Music therapy and animal therapy Age-appropriate activities and bedside play Visits from community groups and celebrities Cuddling for babies Every little bit helps! Please donate to help other children undergoing treatment in honor of Theo.
