BENEFITING: Navy SEAL Foundation
EVENT DATE: Oct 17, 2015
I am running the Wounded Warriors marathon in October in honor of the 10th anniversary of Operation Red Wings. It is my first marathon and I'm asking people to support America's warriors and sponsor my fundraiser for the Navy Seal Foundation.
All donations will go to the Navy Seal Foundation. The Foundation provides support to the Naval Special Warfare community, their families, and the families of the fallen. Our Seals are still deployed in over 30 countries, performing dangerous missions to ensure our safety. They go through incredibly difficult training requiring a determination and fortitude of mind most of us cannot even fathom, and dedicate their lives to the protection of our country.
Support them while they protect us by donating!
In return for your donations and in the spirit of BUD/S, I promise to sweat my butt off. My training will include:
-lots of 10, 15, 20 mile runs
-runs in my weight vest
-Since I’m moving back home to study for the bar, while I’m training, I’m giving my mother the authority of a BUD/S instructor. Every time she tells me to push ‘em out, I’ll do a set of push-ups. This will probably happen often because I leave a trail of sweaty socks, sneakers, and dishes wherever I go.
-Squats, sumo squats, split squats, front squats, jump squats. SQUATS on SQUATS
-Lots of blisters and probably no sleep since I'll also be studying for the bar

Taken from the Navy Seal Code:
In times of war or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our Nation’s call. A common man with uncommon desire to succeed...
My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own...
I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish the mission. I am never out of the fight.
