BENEFITING: WELLS OF LIFE INC
EVENT DATE: Mar 19, 2016
Climb High. Dig Deep.
To celebrate my 13th year of life, my father and I are going to climb a 14,000 foot mountain called Mt. Quandary, in Colorado. We will spend the first night in the snow at about 11,000 feet. We hope to summit the next day.
I have decided to use this challenge to raise money for a charity called Wells of Life. Wells of Life drills wells in Uganda. Currently, some children and their moms walk miles a day to fetch dirty, contaminated water. The cost is $6,000 to drill and install one well. I know that it seems like a lot, but one well will bring clean, safe water to 1,000 villagers. That's 6 bucks per villager to have fresh water for 25 years.
Thank you so much for any amount that you can give.
And here's hoping my dad can keep up with me on the trail.
