Team PHenomenal Hope is starting out 2016 in a big way, by taking on The Pioneer - New Zealand, from January 31 through Febuary 6. This is an epic mountain bike stage race where teams race from Christchurch to Queenstown, covering 546 km (339 mi) with 15,057 meters (49,399 ft) of climbing in 7 stages over 7 days. Roughly, we will be riding the equivalent of up and down Mt Everest! Racers must race as duos, because this is the backcountry afterall.
We're asking for donations of $1 for every meter we climb.
Why are we doing this?
Team PHenomenal Hope is an endurance team that uses extreme races to raise awareness about pulmonary hypertension and funds to find a cure. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a chronic, progressive illness, making people short of breath, fatigued, light-headed and when it is advances leads to heart failure. PAH is a disease that affects people around the globe, and although there are 12 FDA-approved treatments, there is no cure.
Team PHenomenal Hope is racing to make a difference. We hope you will join us in this race towards a cure for this disease.

Where do your donations go?
All donations raised through this campaign will help fund our efforts to support research and patient services through the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
