UPDATE 31 January 2016: We are ecstatic at the responses we've seen on social media and here at our fundraiser page! We are going to set the bar a little higher this time...so although you've shared our CrowdRise once and people got to see it, no one could donate...until now. We've set our new goal at $10,000 and would love to see your generosity in action once again. Share with friends, have someone in the military explain our subtle use of Marine terminology, and MOST IMPORTANTLY...if you're a vet with a story you've been dyin' to tell, e-mail us at THEPROPERLYRELIEVEDPROJECT@GMAIL.COM!

Proper greeting of the day;
You may have never heard of us, but we want all those naive civilians (shout out to Walter's brother) out there to hear about YOU, and that’s why we’re trying to get this Crowd(to)Rise! We are NGVs, NEXT GENERATION VETERANS, and we’ve got to live up to that title now, before any more jackassery is permitted to persist. Our shift from HOOAHs and OORAHs to school and jobs makes all of us ambassadors to the United States of Civilians and I propose if we gain that foothold we can empower the noblest and most able people to come together, as we all have before, to make REAL change.
In all seriousness (all the seriousness we can muster) we present the PROPERLY RELIEVED Project.
WHAT IS IT? – The PROPERLY RELIEVED Project is essentially two Marines armed with cameras, ambition and passion discussing facets of what it means to become a veteran with anyone willing to do so. We will produce three versions of each vet’s “guided discussion” to be published on YouTube, as well as our site (being created as we speak), all of a superior production quality, once a week.
The 3 versions will include:
60 sec. trailer to be aired at the conclusion of the previous week’s story.
5-10 minute Main Effort.
For the truly dedicated, a Behemoth 1-2 hour Full-Length production!
WHY BOTHER? – I’m tired of being asked about my time in the Army, regardless of how many times I correct it, and Walter is tired of getting asked if his beard is there to hide a ghastly war wound on his face (it may be…) and we’re both tired of watching some of America’s best get stigmatized, underestimated, and exploited. The implicit communication developed only by a squad spending every waking moment together is reminiscent of the Spartan phalanx, but despite the centuries separating Warriors, it is our unity that has provided our power. The PROPERLY RELIEVED Project seeks to bond veterans and society, all walks of life, as well as bring veterans together, by candidly expressing the trials and successes of those who once took up arms.
WHAT’S THE $10,000 FOR? – LOTS OF GAS (for now). If I buy any more equipment or software I’m getting thrown out on my fat ass. Fortunately Walter will probably be in the same boat, but we’re not dysfunctional veterans, and while the boxcar hobo life may sound appealing to some, it won’t do shit to change the world. Corny as it may sound, there was a reason we signed on the dotted line…
Let us come to YOU and get the word out there about a group of people that ought to be appreciated the way only a brother or sister could ever understand.
To learn more about our dream for a multi-branch/specialty Veteran Service Organization specifically catered to the GWOT-era veteran, get in touch! We’ve got ideas we’d like to share and more importantly—we’d like to hear yours.
Respectfully Submitted (and many thanks),
