There & Back Again (TABA) is a 501(3)c created by veterans for veterans and provides at no cost trauma-sensitive yoga, acupuncture, meditation and other mind-body therapies to heal the whole body and to help veterans to transition to their lives stateside. TABA is comprised of respected, highly-trained professionals dedicated to healing our military men and women. Our programs are based upon the:1) latest research on the benefits of mind-body therapies to treat trauma, combat stress and issues like chronic pain and insomnia, and our member, and 2) the personal and professional experiences of staff and our advisory board in dealing with post-traumatic stress (PTS) and physiological and psychological symptoms.
The path to recovery and reintegration to life after war is different for everyone. From our experience, empowering our military men and women with mind-body tools to help manage and recover from combat stress is often the tipping point in finding their way back to mental and physical well-being – it enables them to reconnect with family, their community, and move forward with their lives after war.
TABA runs programs at military treatment facilities, warrior transition units, USOs, Reserve and National Guard armories, community centers, VAs, VWFs – anywhere there is a need and a veteran community. We also participate and support research studies on mind-body therapies at locations such as the Boston Medical Center.
