I was place in care at age 15 and aged out. 4 homes, 3 different social workers & 3 different high schools. I had to naviagte adulthood on my own along with fighing for a normal chance a for a better education.
I walk "For a Better Tomorrow" for youth that will age out of the system, without the proper resorces for housing, and access to education, & peer support. These youth need life long connections, to alumni that have been thru the system to serve as support & guidance. No child asks to be placed in the system, no child asks to be homeless on their 18th birthday either.
