These Survivor Stories Need Publishing
Organized by: James Thomson
I promised to publish the stories of these people who survived child abuse.
Because their experiences help other Survivors to reclaim their lives, to thrive once again.
Every victim of child abuse feels that they're alone, that they're damaged, and will never recover - these stories prove they're not alone and that it's possible to get their life back and feel success as they define it; what most of use take for granted - happiness.
Amanda, Michigan: abused by her father 2-8 years old. Now 30, a veterinary technician, happily married and her first baby on the way!
David, Missouri: abused by his priest when aged 11-16. Now 58, married 25 years, 2 proud sons and director of SNAP survivor network.
Cleisa, Kentucky: abused by step-father from age 9 to 14. Now 50, happily married, and all of her 12 grandchildren know that they are her favourite :)
Michael, New Hampshire: abused by both parents and their friends since a toddler to age 16. Now 61, a successful musician, 5 children, happily married, and founder of SurvivingSpirit.com.
I've interviewed of each of these people and paid for the recordings to be transcribed, along with some initial marketing.
Funds are now needed for the editing, proofing, formatting, artwork, legals and a lot more marketing (we've got a lot of people to reach!!)
The book will be sold via Amazon.com, so print and shipping costs for paperbacks & hardcopies will be covered by sales.
1 in 4 girls, and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before they turn 18. That's 42 million Americans that need to know that they're not alone, and that they can get they're life back.
Publishing these stories creates a tangible, positive impact for all.
