The Shane Campaign - NYC Marathon
Organized by: Esther Sullivan
EVENT DATE Nov 02, 2014
Help Shane fight!!
Shane is a fun-loving, sweet 4 year old who loves to socialize, eat ice cream, and be a normal 4 year old. He also adores his baby sister Audrey. Shane is bright, energetic and curious about all things. He has an unbreakable enthusiasm for life.
On June 23, 2014, this amazing boy was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a rare form of brain cancer that only affects children. Shane will likely have a 6-15 month time frame with recommended treatment of radiation and medication. While we hope and pray that Shane proves these timelines and stats wrong, the financial burden is inevitable.
On Sunday, Nov 2nd (exactly 1 month from today - eek!!), I will be running in support of Shane in the NYC Marathon. Please show your support by helping to raise money for this awesome boy!
Shane's family will need help funding Shane's treatments and possible trips to receive treatment. We also hope to help with costs incurred with his parents (my dear friends, Stella and Byung Hak) taking time off from work, childcare help, and even fulfilling Shane's wishes. Every dollar will help.
We also ask for prayers. There is a prayer in place for Shane and his family at 9 am EST every morning. We ask that you join us wherever you are in the world. We believe in the power and strength of praying united in heart.
We want to celebrate Shane and his passion for life! We also want to give him the best care that money can buy so help us raise funds for Shane and his family.
THANK YOU for giving generously and for your prayers.
Follow The Shane Campaign on Facebook for updates on Shane. Hope to see some of you in NYC on Nov 2nd!
