The S.O.U.L. Movement's mission is to end childhood hunger through direct, non-traditional outreach. During our time in our communities, we began to recognize a trend of youth dropping out of high school to support their families financially. Our thought is no child should have to choose between an education and survival. To combat this trend, we would like to place food pantries in low-income charter high schools to meet this need. We hope to make the pantry at each school available to the students once a week and that these additional resources will help them stay in school and focus on education.
