The Survivors of Scott Ptak Desperately Need Your Support
Organized by: Rachel Ainsworth
Scott Ptak unexpectedly died in his sleep in the early morning hours this Tuesday. He was 39 years old. Scott was a loving and caring father of his precious 4 year-old daughter, Julianna. A devoted and doting husband to his wife of nearly 14 years, Veronica, who is seriously ill. Scott was the sole caregiver for Veronica and her mother Mary, who both suffer with a rare and severely debilitating illness- Hereditary Angio Edema Type 3. Scott remained a rock to his wife, daughter, family and friends after losing Julianna's twin, Solomon to SIDS. Scott worked as an IT Professional at Texas Children's Hospital full-time for 8 years, but was laid off in August, and as far as we know, also LOST HIS LIFE INSURANCE. Scott had a lot of responsibility and suffered a lot of heartache, but he was always jolly, positive and supportive. He was proud that he singlehandedly cared for his family, and took great joy in doing so. Scott still found time to do "mitzvahs," selfless deeds to help others. Scott Ptak was the epitome of a "mensch" if one ever lived. As Scott's close friends, we ask you to please help us help Scott continue to take care of his family. Please give all you can, whenever you can. ALL funds raised will go towards funeral expenses, immediate living expenses, and the remainder will be deposited into a trust fund for Julianna and Veronica. Thank you for keeping Scott's legacy of caring and giving alive.
