BENEFITING: STUPID CANCER
EVENT DATE: Apr 07, 2013
We are writing to you from Saint Leo University, a small private school just north of Tampa, Florida. Our sorority, the Beta Upsilon chapter of Theta Phi Alpha, is hosting our annual "Rock Against Cancer" event. The intention of the event is to promote cancer awareness to a young audience. All of the proceeds will be donated towards our fundraising efforts for StupidCancer.org’s "I’m Too Young for This" foundation. We would greatly appreciate anything that you are willing to donate to our event to support this wonderful cause.
Theta Phi Alpha chose the "I’m Too Young for This" foundation as the recipient of our donations for personal reasons; many of the sisters and their families have been affected by cancer in the past few years, and some continue to struggle with the disease. Through "Rock Against Cancer", we are able to come together as a sorority and University campus community joining with the surrounding local community to support a serious cause, while still offering the entertainment of a concert.
"Rock Against Cancer" is set for Sunday, April 7th, 2013 at 1:00PM. It will be on campus at Saint Leo University with the location to be announced. This event is open to the public with the purchase of a ticket.
