A great article about how to lower your risk

I am so excited to share that I will be running in the 2017 TCS NYC Marathon as a part of team Think Pink Rocks!
Think Pink Rocks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer and to provide funding for screening, treatment and research.
Not just one, but four amazing close friends of mine have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the past few years. I have witnessed their journey, the ups, the downs, and everything in between. The strength, courage, and, bravery shared by all of these women is beyond incredible.
One of these courageous fighters is my beautiful friend and neighbor, Amy. She was diagnosed with stage IIb breast cancer last fall, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Amy also shares my love of running, and for New York City.
On November 5th, 2017 I will be lacing up my running shoes for my 26.2 mile journey through NYC in honor of these breast cancer warriors!
Please consider a donation (in any amount) to help my fundraising efforts for Think Pink Rocks. :)
**All money raised for Think Pink Rocks from the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon will benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the Breast Oncology Center at the University of Michigan. Some members of our team have a direct connection to breast cancer, but we also have many team members who are running or walking simply because they want to support a great cause.
Think Pink Rocks is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Contributions to Think Pink Rocks are tax deductable to the extent allowable by law.
