On November 5, 2017, I will be running the New York City Marathon in order to raise money for Think Pink Rocks. Think Pink Rocks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer, as well as to provide funding for screening, treatment and research.
This cause is especially close to my heart. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer on Nov. 3, 2016, almost exactly one year to the day before I will be running the marathon. If it weren't for early detection, my mom's prognosis likely would've been much worse. Over the past several months, my mom has courageously endured surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. She has been incredibly strong throughout this difficult time and I admire her now more than ever.
By donating, you will help ensure that women will have greater access to early detection measures and genetic testing tools that could mean the difference between life and death. Both my mom and I thank you for your donation!!
Think Pink Rocks is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Contributions to Think Pink Rocks are tax deductable to the extent allowable by law.
