I am running the NYC Half Marathon on March 20, 2016 to raise money for THINK PINK ROCKS non-profit organization. I chose this group in honor of my BFF, Julie Leach and other friends and family who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and for those who carry the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation.
Please help me reach my goal and and any little helps! I appreciate your help and encouragement. Don't forget to get yearly mamograms and always be aware of your body and the changes that may occur.
Think Pink Rocks is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer and to provide funding for screening, treatment and research.
Did you know:
• A woman's risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer is greatly increased if she carries the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation (Breast Cancer gene mutation).
• Men with these mutations also have an increased risk of breast and prostate cancer. Our team will raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
The money raised for Think Pink Rocks from the NYC Half 2015 will benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where Think Pink Rocks has establshed a dedicated breast cancer research fund, as well as at the Breast Oncology Center at the University of Michigan, in addiiton to providing funding for treatment.
Some members of our team have a direct connection to breast cancer, but we also have many team members who are running or walking simply because they want to support a great cause.
Think Pink Rocks is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Contributions to Think Pink Rocks are tax deductable to the extent allowable by law.
Thanks for your support!
