For over 5 years, my entire family watched my Grandma fight as she went through round after round of radiation. In 2011, I lost my Grandma to a long and dreadful battle with lung cancer that metastasized to her brain. Through research, it is my hope that less and less families will experience what mine did.
In 2017, I made it a personal goal to run the NYC Marathon in honor of my Grandma. In order to do so, I need to raise a minimum of $3,000 for lung cancer research. I need help!
I promise to battle for 26.2 miles, just as my Grandma did from 2006-2011, and as many others have. I won't walk once like I did in my last marathon :)
For those who donate $25 or more - I will create a Snap Chat group and snap you throughout my marathon training journey and the marathon. Snaps are appreciated back for motivation. We are all in this together!
The Labrecque Foundation funds the most promising and innovative lung cancer research projects. Together with our research partners, we are working toward early detection methods that will diagnose lung cancer in Stage I or Stage II, when the five-year survival rate is 70% to 80%!
Lets do this, y'all!!!!
