Oh, hello.
Just when you thought you wouldn't get another email from me about Team Tassy . . .

As you may know, The North Face sent a media crew with us to Haiti to film a mini-documentary. It was released this week, and I've watched it (like eight times). I wanted to pass it along just in case you need a break from the wonderful presidential election coverage we're having.

This video has it all. Wild dogs, a voodoo ceremony, erratic traffic, me applying sun screen, and hope.

I know there are a lot of worthy causes out there; there's plenty of good to be done in this world. But please consider Team Tassy in the future when you can.

Team Tassy is rolling out a new program where you can be matched with a family and follow their progress--so you can see in real time how your contributions are making a difference. I'm anxiously awaiting to see who I'm matched with.

Ok, that's it for now. Hope to see you around somewhere this summer, but probably not on the jogging trails. I'm still taking a break.

Hello all, I'm sure you're e…
Hello all,
I'm sure you're experiencing a little bit of fatigue from the Team Tassy emails at this point, but I wanted to reach out and offer one final and most sincere thank you. I cannot adequately express our appreciation for your messages, donations and efforts to help us spread the message.

While the runners may have received the most attention during this endeavor, your efforts were the most important. Without your support, we would have just been shuffling along a dusty road and ruining our joints for nothing.

All of you raised $137,000. We are blown away. This money can make a real difference for the people in Haiti--and I promise you that it will. When we were in Haiti, we met the first family that Team Tassy focused on. Marc Noel (the father of the family) explained to us that his daughter was born without the ability to urinate. When Team Tassy found them 6 years ago, his daughter had never urinated all four years she had been alive. Seriously, imagine that.
Team Tassy made sure she received the medical attention she needed. Then they helped the Noels build a permanent house that protected them from the elements. Their old home flooded constantly and, in Haiti, flooding guarantees disease.
Then they helped Marc obtain a drivers license and lease a car so he could become a taxi driver and support his family forever. When we met Marc last month, he was nearly able to own the car himself. He is also able to send his children to school.

This is how poverty is cured. Addressing all the issues affecting a family and sticking with them until they can lift themselves out of poverty forever. It's about creating an effect that echos for generations.

And you made these changes possible. You helped make the world a better place. From me and all the Team Tassy families, thank you.

In case you missed it, here is the last installment of the videos from our run. It features some interviews with a very, very exhausted yours truly.

Till next time.

How's going?
Thank you so much for your very generous donation. It's very much appreciated. This cause means a lot to me, but more importantly, you helped give some amazing people a chance to make a better life for their families. Team Tassy believes that it can cure poverty, and people like you will help make that possible.
If you're interested, feel free to check out the last video in the series about the Haiti run last year. It'll give you a taste of what's to come in February.

Hope to see you soon. And, I can't say it enough, THANK YOU! I know you said that you'll be fundraising soon. Of course you can count on me.
