Over the past 5 summers, I spent my free time marching with the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps. For approximately 2 ½ months we toured the country, starting on the West Coast and working our way back East. During this time we  travelled over 12,000 miles and performed in more than 40 competitions.  Although I have aged-out (I'm too old to participate anymore), I would still love to support my organization.

The Boston Crusaders are the third-oldest drum & bugle corps in the nation and a proud
founding member of Drum Corps International (DCI). For over 70 years the Boston Crusaders have provided opportunities for marching members to experience an intensive
program of music education and performance training. While they are fiercely competitive,
placing top 12 for the past 13 years, they are equally known for providing a family
environment where members are not just another dot on the field.
 
My philosophy on deciding on which drum corps to spend your career at has always been to find a drum corps with core values and philosophies that align with your own.  I march with the Boston Crusaders because I feel like it's my family.  Yes, I strive for high performance quaility and competition, but I also look for a bigger vision and purpose.  Here at the Boston Crusaders, not only do I grow as a performer, but I also grow as a human being.
