BENEFITING: BLUEGRASS OVARIAN CANCER SUPPORT
EVENT DATE: May 21, 2016
The Thoroughbred Figure Skating Club will be "skating for a cause" on May 21st. The Spring Recital will serve as a fundraiser for the Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support Group. Coach Ben Logan’s mother, Eunice Logan, is the President of the support group. Even though she is currently undergoing treatment for the disease, she volunteers her time to support others. The Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support Inc.’s primary goal is to offer a forum for sharing experiences, knowledge and assistance to women with Ovarian cancer. The organization also serves to educate women on the risk factors, syptoms, and detection of Ovarian cancer. We are happy to have the opportunity to support this group and to honor Eunice Logan who served as a dedicated TFSC parent volunteer for many years. Click here to read a letter from Coach Ben about his mom's diagnosis and how she continues to fight the disease, her love of figure skating and dedication to our club, and how the Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support group has helped his family and countless other families across Central Kentucky.
Each skater has a goal of raising $50. Please help us reach our goal by making a donation. Your donation includes an invitation to attend our Spring Recital on May 21st at 11:15 am.
