Those that bleed, have a need.
Organized by: Aaron DeVore
It's not pretty. It's not appropriate. It's not for polite discussion. And it's not free. Every year when school starts, we collect supplies for kids who need help. Every day we collect box tops for education, and cans of food for the hungry. But there's something more, something whispered about by teenage girls, and spoken about delicately by grown women. The food bank looks out for the hungry, and the shelters look out for the homeless, but they cannot do it all. Inspired by friends, and the media attention of unfair taxation, we are gathering funds to help women meet a basic monthly need. We are seeking to raise funds, to provide the impoverished and homeless of San Antonio and South Texas with feminine hygiene products, tampons, pads, liners, and hygienic wipes. It isn't pretty, it isn't pleasant, but it will always be a need. With your donation we will collect and distribute these supplies to the shelters and missions in the Bexar County area, to take a little pressure off of those who cannot afford that extra load of laundry this holiday season.
